Royal Rangers has some incredible camping opportunities for older Rangers: Junior Training Camps. At each camp you can earn various merits as well as leadership experience. If you go to 5 camps you can earn a Saber. D Lane and M Herzog have been to 5 camps and will be getting their Sabers at the Jamboree. Here is the JLTA Application. Commander Cleveland has been an instructor at Junior Survival Camp and Junior Training Trails. It is hard work, but it is an incredible challenge. This is not a TV sitcom or reality show, this is real life emergency survival training and it is FUN (after it is all over, Ha Ha).
The first two camps, JTC and AJTC are a prerequisite for the other camps, so be sure and do these now. There is talk of Junior Canoe Expedition later in the year.
Put this on your calendar, and plan to go.
